I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Road safety issues, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Dyfed Powys Police are set to step up patrols and enforcement in the North Dock area of Llanelli to combat the annual rise in anti-social behaviour. In recent years, the force has had an increase in reports and complaints of Anti-Social Behaviour in North Dock as the area gets busier with the improving weather. Reports such as reckless or dangerous driving, items being thrown at other vehicles, as well as the playing of very loud music and beeping car horns have been made to the force. As the spring time approaches, local neighbourhood policing and prevention teams will be carrying out additional patrols while working closely with partner agencies such as Carmarthenshire County Council, and local businesses to address the issue.
During a proactive operation in March 2025, the force issues 18 vehicle prohibitions, 18 traffic offence reports, two vehicles seized, section 59 warning notices were issued for vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner, two arrests were made for drug driving offences and two individuals were given out of court disposals for drug offences.
We are taking all reports seriously, and will continue to do planned operations in the coming weeks. If youre still experiencing issues in North Dock with vehicles, please contact 999 in an emergency, or 101 in a non-emergency, or report online via the Dyfed Powys Police Website.
Thank you for your continued support.
